Deserted

Yesterday on Christmas day the city was almost deserted and at times it was possible to look as far up the street as you coud see without seeing another person or vehicle moving. The only people i saw were tourists looking for something to do and finding nothing open. (originally published at nocolour.com)
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays
I had trouble deciding which picture should be posted for the Christmas Day photo of the day ….

The inside of St Lukes Church at Richmond, near Hobart decorated for Christmas (taken yesterday) or ….

Or St Davids Cathedral as the service was ending and the worshipers shaking hands as they left.
Someones Christmas is not so good at this time. I have police, fire and ambulance in my street after a MVA but the news is filled with car accidents so no pictures for that. Hopefully they will be ok.
Sailing Ships

It was peak hour at Elizabeth Wharf as first the Lady Nelson (right) and then Windward Bound (left) left for a cruise on the Derwent
Bolt

Once upon a time this nut and bolt along with the rest helped secure a cannon intended to defend Hobart from attack. The gun is long gone and its just slowly rusting away
Cortortionist

Another shot featuring the Street Performer i featured earlier during his performance Swallowing a Sword . This time he has threaded himself through a tennis raquet.
