Australia Day

Here in Australia we are today celebrating Australia Day and that its 220 years since the first European settlement was made. Naturally not all celebrate the day with many Aboriginal people referring to it as “invasion day”. Hopefully with the recently elected Labor government there will be some positive movement regarding reconciliation.
Also on this day 200 years ago in Sydney there was the Rum Rebellion, the only successful military rebellion in Australia’s history when officers of the New South Wales Corps rebelled against Governor Bligh.

Fishing

On a lousy day the fishing must have been good with a row of people fishing from the South Arm Jetty
Yellow

A few days ago it was a vivid red sunset, last night it was the turn of yellow to show off.
