Muirs and the fish punts at Constitution docks were doing a good trade as good Friday dinners flocked for their fish. Being neither Christian nor a fan of fish i did not partake!

How things change!
I remember the Hobart wharf area in the late 60’s.
Us kids would line up with the rest of the thousands catching mackrel by the bucket load..squid and couta in numbers that you couldnt carry them home on the bikes!

LOL - i wasn’t even born back then although my father does talk about catching the trolley bus to the movies on a saturday but if he walked then he could get a lolly bag instead
