I thought for the next few days i might post pictures from Port Arthur. It is a place with a dark past both recently and from further back.

    3. It does have an unhappy look, but is in a very nice setting. I don’t see any barbed wire fences…

    4. nancy – i don’t think at the time they were taking in the view lol. It was a hard prison and the men here had committed further crimes after they were transported from England

    Jacob – its a big open air museum now. The last prisoners left from memory in 1877
