Today’s shot is at Richmond following the path along side the Coal River with the path presently easy to see covered by fallen leaves.
I thought tonight i might post another picture from Montagu Bay on the Eastern Shore. In the right of the picture is the Tasman Bridge.
At the risk of becoming stereotyped with three photos of reflections on water in a row, i just had to post this one. This shot is of a pond near the Derwent River at New Norfolk.
On a side note, Hobart daily might be a bit weird over the course of the weekend. I will be putting in a new template and stuff might come and go as i move things around to match the template!
Today’s shot is no where near Hobart but never the less i thought it worth sharing. It is of the Repulse Dam 7 km up a dirt road from Ouse in the Central Highlands and holds back Lake Repulse. The Repulse dam has one turbine and generates up to 28 MW of Electricity having been a compromise between Hydro Electricity Generation and agricultural needs. The water flowing through this dam will travel through a further two dams and eventually through Hobart and out to sea.
As well as the generation of electricity, the lake is a popular destination for venues for fishing, canoeing and water skiing. The buoys in the picture are marking the exclusion zone from the dam.
On the weekend i took a drive up the Derwent Valley and beyond. On the way back down i pulled over to where i could see the view in this photo. With the autumn colours and the blue sky it looked great.
