Tsunami Warning
Thanks to an earthquake around 3 1/2 hours ago off the South Island of New Zealand, much of the East Coast of Australia including the East Coast of Tasmania has a Tsunami warning in effect as well as Hobart where i am. Our warning was for several hours from 9.30pm and with the exception of one waterfront bar closing, there seems to have been little reaction when i was at Hobart Port Area around 11pm with the exception of one waterfront bar that closed just in case.
Unconfirmed via a twitter post, Seven news is reporting the Tsunami measured at 12 cm high (a little under 5 inches) and Inundation is not expected according to ABC News.
