One of the local radio stations for Winter Solace wanted pictures of the Hobart area to show hobart. So i took some pictures and just finished uploading them.

Driving near Sorell this morning there was a definite layer to the clouds as seen here with distinct bands of clouds and clear in the hills.

I thought tonight i might post another picture from Montagu Bay on the Eastern Shore. In the right of the picture is the Tasman Bridge.
Montagu Bay
Today’s shot is of Montagu Bay on the Eastern Shore that i took after sunset today. The location was suggested by one of my long time subscribers Eileen and i thought why not.
Originally i tried to take the shot this morning and thought it might be interesting as there was another Bridgewater Jerry with fog but i thought the picture turned out a little plain.
And just a little while ago i went back again, this time to try a night shot. I admit it could have turned out better but night photography is not my forte by any means.

Bridgewater Jerry
In the colder months when the weather conditions are right, Hobart can get what is known locally as the Bridgewater Jerry. Fog to the rest of the world. It flows down the derwent and depending on the prevailing conditions may also spread out from there. This shot was taken a little after dawn on Tuesday with the dawn light still around to give it some colour.
