The Fox and the Hound

This was supposed to be a photo of my Firefox t-shirts that arrived a day too late to wear on Firefox download day but instead turned into some strange version of the favourite kids story the fox and the hound with my dog determined to be in the picture (its almost dinner time for him so he is determined to be anywhere i can see him to remind me it is dinner time!)
Waiting

The media was collected outside the executive building where the Premiers office is this morning bouyed by the rumour that Premier Paul Lennon was going to resign today and by late morning The Premier had announced his resignation.
I would have liked to spend more time trying to get a decent shot of something more interesting but i had to be in work plus i only had my compact camera rather than my digital SLRs and lens.
Wind, Rain and Destruction

Here in Hobart we have been hit with unpleasant weather with gale force winds and rain. At its peak a weather station near to my home recorded a wind speed of 176 km per hour. My home suffered minimal damage with a few roof tiles lost, a dog bowl lost and a frightened dog who got to sleep inside.
In the city this morning there was debris everywhere including today’s photo where part of a tree had come down and the wood cleared. Elsewhere power lines were down and roofs off.
Headline

A personally pleasing headline. Thanks to a comment from Maeria on my Open for Business post and follow up from Maeria i was able to tip off The Mercury that the canceled fire sale at Myer Hobart that it was implied everything was damaged and had to be destroyed. The next day … front page.
