Decay

I thought i would focus on some building decay in the old Willow Court Centre that i found interesting and of course photographed.
Barrack Square

This is the barrack square of Willow Court and is the oldest Mental Hospital building in Australia although this like much of the former Royal Derwent Hospital and Willow Court Centre is now run down and deserted and when i was there it seemed like a ghost town.

Reflections under the bridge at New Norfolk
Ghost Town

Something that may be of interest is that New Norfolk used to be home to a mental hospital and a centre for physically and interllectually disabled clients. With modern treatment techniques the hospital was closed and the clients moved into the community. It left the facilities used in many case the equivalent of a ghost town which has become more run down and looking like today’s picture of a building of the former Royal Derwent Hospital
No Skiing

New Norfolk is popular for many things including Water Skiing but up river from the bridge the river soon becomes unsuited to such pursuits
